Everything is fabricated in house by our own team, so we keep a close eye on quality from the first cut through to delivery. We are ISO 9001 certified and our structural steelwork is CE marked to EN 1090, the standard building control will expect on any load bearing steel. Our welders are coded, so the welds holding your structure together are done properly and can be traced back.

Galvanised RSJs and construction beams

RSJs and construction beams are a big part of what we do. We hold an extensive range of beams in stock, in standard and custom lengths, so we can cover anything from a single beam for a domestic job to a full fabricated frame for a commercial build. Beams can be supplied galvanised where they need the extra corrosion protection, or in mild steel primed ready for painting. Our team has years of experience on both domestic and industrial work, so whatever the drawing calls for we can cut it to size and get it to you quickly. A steel order holding up the rest of the site is the last thing anyone wants, so we work to short turnaround times wherever we can.

What we fabricate

Most of our structural work falls into a few areas. We make steel frames and columns for extensions, new builds and commercial units. We cut and drill beams, lintels and RSJs to your engineer's spec, ready to drop straight into place on site. We also fabricate base plates, end plates and connections, along with the brackets, cleats and fixings that tie everything together. If you have a drawing, we can work from it. Steel grades and finishes

We work mainly in structural grade steel, S275 and S355, in mild or galvanised form depending on where the steel is going and how exposed it will be. Anything that needs protecting can be supplied primed, painted or hot dip galvanised, so it turns up ready for the conditions on site. If you have a specific finish or coating in mind, let us know when you enquire and we will price it in.

Measure, cut, deliver and fit

Our measure and fit service takes the risk and the guesswork away from you or your builder. We handle the measuring, cutting, delivery and erection, so the steel that turns up is right first time and goes straight in. Our workforce is highly experienced and fully trained in health and safety best practice. Before we start on site we put together a method statement that sets out how the work will be carried out, along with the risk assessments and lifting plans the job needs. That keeps everyone safe and the installation running to plan.

Structural steel is not something to take chances on, which is why the paperwork matters as much as the steel itself. Our EN 1090 registration and ISO 9001 certification mean every job is made to a documented standard and can be traced from material through to the finished piece. That gives building control, your engineer and you the confidence that the steelwork is fit for purpose and signed off correctly.
